The NFA Foundation, Inc. welcomes applications for a Leadership Annual Giving Officer to serve the vital role of securing support from alumni, parents, and friends of Norwich Free Academy capable of giving $1,000 or more annually. The Officer will have a demonstrated ability to personally solicit high-end annual and major gifts. The ideal candidate must be highly organized, have strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and have experience with Raiser's Edge NXT.  

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

  • Create and manage a fundraising plan with qualitative and quantitative goals related to securing support from NFA prospects giving annual gifts of $1,000 or more to the Foundation

  • Manage a prospect portfolio of approximately 150 individuals capable of $1,000+ annual gifts. Create and implement individual cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for each

  • Work collaboratively to recruit and train advancement volunteers to support reunion giving and faculty-staff giving campaign

  • Assist in the creation of strategy for annual scholarship campaign, with a focus on prospects that require a face-to-face solicitation and/or a special appeal package

  • Create a systematic approach to qualify new donors to determine their interest in and capacity for support

  • Utilize Raiser’s Edge NXT to track visits, produce contact note, and conduct appropriate constituent follow-up

  • Attend on and off campus events as needed to cultivate the support of portfolio

Qualifications: 

  • Must be highly organized with strong interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Proficiency in Windows based software and Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge and/or NXT required

  • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of five to seven years’ experience in development, preferably within an independent school or college/university

  • Demonstrated ability to personally solicit high-end annual and major gifts
